Broomhill LidoBroomhill Pool, Ipswich opened on April 30th 1938 and closed in the autumn of 2002; a continuous campaign has been fought to see the pool restored and re-opened and the Broomhill Pool Trust have recently submitted a bid for Heritage Lottery Funding. Please come to the:-

ENTRANCE: FREE (but donations welcomed!)
LOCATION: BROOMHILL POOL (entrance to the pool is via Sherrington Road, off Norwich Rd)

In the evening there is a barbecue and party at the Emperor Pub in Norwich Road.

The Executive also approved £1,000,000 (subject to a business plan being approved) towards the £3,900,000 required (end 2008 costs) to restore the facility - and agreed to move to the "next stage".
