SW4 People is a new pool campaign website set up by 60 local people following consultation in March 2006 on the proposals for Clapham Manor Leisure Centre.

Please help! Lambeth Council have announced that they wish to redevelop Clapham Manor Pool and Leisure Centre. This involves the sale of buildings and land that the Leisure Centre uses. SLSC members have been users of the pool for many years as individuals or during the club's Monday night training sessions. The Councils preferred redevelopment option (from four presented) does not guarentee a pool at all!

Legally they need to enter a consultation period before they can decide on what to do. They have asked us to respond by Thursday 13th April. So we need your help!

Lambeth Council have asked people to complete a questionnaire and submit it to them. Here is a link to their proposals and a feedback form. The SLSC believe that we and other users of the pool would be best served outline in Option 4.
