New 50m pool for Liverpool approved

"Liverpool City Council has given approval for work to start on a new 50m pool for the city.
Enabling work on the site – which is at the Picton Leisure Centre in Wavertree – will commence immediately, with construction hoped to start at the end of March, ahead of a planned opening in Autumn 2007"
