Sunday 3rd July 2005 12 noon until 6pm

Big Stage in the street will have

  • Haunted House Productions from Kiss FM
  • Lots of MCs, rappers, R&B
  • DJs – from all kinds of music
  • Turkish drumming group
  • Streetdance
  • Elvis singalike
  • Dancing – Chinese traditional children’s dancing
  • Old time songs – songs from second world war
  • Message from ‘Make Poverty History’
  • Imam from the mosque will sing

In the street - somewhere

  • Stalls – 50 stalls with food, bric-a-brac, information, games, make poverty history, tombola,
  • Films –the film of the street made by laburnum pilot plus chidren’s films
  • Children’s activities – playbus, ecoactive - windmill making etc, craft stalls
  • Clown, jugglers in the street
  • Procession in the street
  • Face painting
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Face painting
  • Firebrigade
  • Street Cinema

Open for the Day

  • Laburnum Boat club ‘come and try it’ day
  • Tours of the Suleymaniye mosque
  • Drawing Room – art exhibition

PILOT FILM MAKING

Last year Pilot Publishing made the Laburnum Pilot magazine about Laburnum Street for the street party. This year Ella and Amy are making a film about Laburnum Street and what has happened in the last year. The film-making will take place at 75 Hebden Court in Laburnum Street - and will happen from 11am to 6pm on Sunday 19th June, Saturday 26th June, and every day from Monday 28th June until the street party on Sunday 3rd June. Everyone of any age who lives or works or goes to school in the area is welcome to take part, just drop into Hebden Court, or email laburnum_pilot@hotmail.com or call 07947 367463 for more information.
