London Pools Campaign wrote to Hillingdon Council to ask about the future of Uxbridge Lido.  Cllr Solveig Stone, Cabinet Member fo Education Youth and Leisure wrote in response that the council intends to bring the lido back into full use as "a fully integrated part of the new sports and leisure complex that will entail the restoration of the exiting grandstand, cascades, entrance guilding, lido pool and surrounds".  This would be alongside a "state of the art" leisure facility including an indoor 25m 8 lane pool.   They are currently preparing the planning application.
