On 3 April 2007, Ipswich Borough Council's Executive Committee historically endorsed the Broomhill Pool Trust's £67,000 feasibility study into the future of the iconic 1930's lido. The Executive also approved £1,000,000 (subject to a business plan being approved) towards the £3,900,000 required (end 2008 costs) to restore the facility - and agreed to move to the "next stage".
