About this website

This website has been created and is managed by the London Pools Campaign. It offers a platform for the distribution of news and a forum for discussion about the state of swimming pools, lidos, lakes and ponds in our city.

We created the site when we became aware that so many groups fighting for their pools, lidos and ponds already existed and that there was a need for a 'pooling' of our efforts to get our message across more strongly.

The site does not work to duplicate or detract from existing campaign sites and also offers the opportunity for some campaigns, without the expertise in creating and managing websites, to gain a presence on the world wide web.

These groups are allowed to put forward their opinions, plans and aspirations and the London Pools Campaign will support and encourage their right to do so without necessarily supporting or agreeing with everything they write.
