Parkwood Leisure who also manage Ladywell in Lewisham are proud to be "Helping Deliver A Memorable 2012!"

We are getting a lot of comment from residents that they do not want the Council to close Purley Pool and leisure Centre...

They strongly feel that it should remain where it is. It is well used and sited in the correct place.

It serves Sanderstead, Selsdon, Coulsdon, Kenley, Purley and South Croydon. In total about 12000 households. It is available to about 50000 people.

It also is used by 11 Schools as well as local swimming clubs. We also understand that it makes a profit.

Why should the Council want to close such a good facility that is well used?

So Charlton Lido is back to being open in school holidays only .....

"Charlton Lido will open to the general public from Saturday 21 July to Sunday 2 September 2007.

Opening hours will be 10.30am - 6.00pm at all times (weekdays and weekends) during the holiday period, the morning session 10.30am - 12.30pm will be designated for families only (children under 16 years of age to be accompanied by an adult). Opening will be subject to weather conditions."
